Alias the Faerie’s Bubble Show

Event

This event is presented by the Wonderful World Festival.

On a strange planet, a breathtaking bubble world awaits! This is a live show at Smith's Alternative, upstairs in McGregor Hall. Also catch a shorter show by the same performers on the Glebe Stage during the Big Bubble Blowout.

One adventurer is on a mission to explore this place and its ingenious inhabitants, to whom bubbles are part of daily life. In a shimmering atmosphere, bubbles great and small are created through a blend of magic and science, helping our adventurer to understand this world through dazzling demonstrations and play.

Come to see the impossible wobbling bubble walls, bubble crafting contraptions, gravity-defying stunts, frolics in foam, slippery dance moves, alien outfits that make their own bubbles and even fiery surprises that bring this whimsical universe to life.

With every floating sphere and perfect pop, this performance invites audiences into a world of wonder where anything can happen inside a bubble. Developed with local Canberra artists from Alias Performance and Circoscope circus production house.

Presented as part of the Cabinet of Curiosities at Smiths Alternative.
