Aussie Peace Walk

Event

The Aussie Peace Walk is a two-day international walking festival that will serve as the grand finale of the six-day MarchMingle in 2026. Drawing participants to Canberra from around the world, this event offers an incredible opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of 'the Bush Capital' with people of all different backgrounds and nationalities.

Walking enthusiasts come from around the world to take part in a variety of walks held on the last weekend in March. Participants who complete two walks totalling 24 kilometres or more are presented with an Aussie Peace Walk medal or a 'year bar' to add to their collection.

The most popular walk combination is a 21-kilometre walk on Saturday backed up with a 24-kilometre walk on Sunday. Those who want more of a challenge can choose a 42.2-kilometre walk followed by the 24-kilometre. There are also 7-kilometre and 12-kilometre options available for all ages and fitness levels.
