Comfy Gutters

Event

Folk-rockers Comfy Gutters return to Smiths twice the men they were. They've swelled from their core bare-bones duo into a rockin' four-piece, giving more meat to their original tales of diverse dilemmas that include Tasmanian childhoods gone wrong, the perils of modern cruise ship voyages, and being unable to romantically compete with a rescued greyhound. So their usual fare of banging tunes, rich lyrics with harmony vocals, some laughs and the odd tearjerker- just more so.

The Gutters will be ably supported by their great pal Liz Caddy, a local singer-songwriter specializing in oversharing through music. Her songs speak to growing up, letting go and falling hard. Whether Liz is serenading her cat, damning her ex or sharing an origin story nobody asked for, she does it with passion, humour and a little bit of sass.
