Hot Summer Nights at the NFSA

Event

Hot Summer Nights returns for its second year, offering an unforgettable blend of live local music and classic cinema — all in one ticket for the ultimate summer evening.

Every Friday and Saturday evenings in the heritage courtyard, enjoy live performances by talented local artists, complemented by local wines, summer cocktails, and charcuterie from Dom's Deli & Bar. Later, guests step into Canberra's most beautiful cinema for a hand-picked film, ranging from sensual classics to gritty dramas and beloved musicals.

Highlights include the soul-stirring songs of Wallabindi paired with Aussie classic The Sapphires, the swinging grooves of Belco Jazz Band alongside Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, the cross-cultural fusion of Karisha & The FunKaars with Monsoon Wedding, and high-energy indie rock from ARCHIE paired with Heath Ledger in Two Hands. There's a perfect music-and-movie combo for everyone this summer.

Full program available on the website. Licensed event with food and beverages available for purchase from Dom's Deli & Bar — no BYO.
