Kim Yang Turn On The Lights – Album Launch

Event

After three years travelling and performing overseas, Taiwanese-Australian indie-folk songstress Kim Yang is back in Canberra to launch her debut studio album 'Turn On The Lights'

Produced by Louis Montgomery (SAFIA, Peking Duk, Lucy Sugarman, Cathy Diver) and mastered by Joseph Cárra (The Teskey Brothers, Courtney Barnett, Hiatus Kaiyote) 'Turn On The Lights' is a collection of bilingual songs that explore Kim's thoughts on identity, purpose, fear and anxiety. The essence of the album is Kim's journey from self-doubt, to self-discovery, to self-acceptance. The full album release follows the launch of the first two singles off the album 'All Good When I'm With You' and 'Forever this way', Kim's biggest releases to date.

Kim will be backed by a high quality band featuring some of Canberra's best musicians. A string section will help bring the album to life for the live audience. All this will be accompanied by the audience in singalongs and harmonies throughout the set.
