Lucid Body Acting Workshop

Uniquely designed for Canberra audience and Canberra visitors, this 'Canberra-only' intensive workshop will take place over two weekends/4 full days in October on 11th-12th and 18th-19th. Interstate visitors are especially welcome as this intensive program is not offered elsewhere!

Lucid Body is a U.S. developed acting technique for actors or anyone seeking self-expansion to improve their presence, listening and communication. It's a psycho-physical process that prioritises the practice of investigating the given circumstances of our body with respect and without judgement. It is used by Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o and taught at leading performing art schools including Juilliard, Tisch School of Art at NYU and the Yale School of Drama.

Australia's first (and only to date) certified Lucid Body instructor Rob Maxwell is coming to Canberra to teach Lucid Body Basics, to be completed over two weekends (4 full days) Rob is a highly respected and sought-after acting, voice, movement coach based in Sydney.

The workshop is for actors who want practical tools to break habit,s expand range and unlock new character possibilities from within. It is also for non-actors who want to increase their psychophysical awareness a nd develop deeper presence in communication.
