Mountain

Event

Prepare for Mountain, an evocative new work that unites the electrifying electronic soundscapes of UK producer Clark with the acclaimed choreography of Melanie Lane and the celebrated fashion design of Akira Isogawa.

This powerful performance features five dancers and five classical musicians from the Canberra Symphony Orchestra performing live. Mountain delves into the complex journey of ascension and descent, exploring the terror of collapse and the transcendence of conquering unreachable peaks.

Clark's arresting original score seamlessly interweaves electronics with live strings and piano, creating a haunting sonic world that is both acoustic and synthetic. And Melanie Lane's dynamic choreography pushes the dancers to climb, collapse, and take flight, carried by music that both arrests and promises a realm beyond their own.
