Movie Marathons at the NFSA

Event

Warm up your winter with Movie Marathons that invite you to settle in and lose track of time. Designed for unhurried, immersive viewing, these extended sessions pair iconic films with comfort food and drinks from the onsite bar and deli, creating a cosy, communal cinema experience.

The program journeys across bold and imaginative storytelling. The Back to the Future trilogy launches with inventive, high-energy time travel, while a trio of Christopher Nolan films—Memento, Inception and Interstellar—dives into fractured memory, layered dreams, and vast explorations of space and time. The season closes with the gripping tension of the Alien trilogy.

From playful adventures to psychological puzzles and edge-of-your-seat survival, these marathons showcase cinema at its most expansive, with stories that stretch across time, challenge perception and pull audiences deep into other worlds
