Newsies Jnr

Event

Newsies Jnr has never been staged in Canberra; however, its subject matter will resonate with the ACT region's politically savvy audiences. But don't let those serious notions put you off. Newsies Jnr is jampacked with unforgettable characters, wonderful songs, sharp choreography and staging, delivered by a cast of incredibly dedicated young performers.

This version is Newsies Jnr, a shorter, but no less powerful, rendition of this exciting Broadway stage musical of the Disney feature film from 1992, directed by Kenny Ortega. With a very experienced team of locally based professional creatives guiding the work, this promises to be a very enjoyable, family-friendly theatre experience. Newsies Jnr will be the first full production from PATH (Performing After Training Hard!!) - a specialist music theatre program developed by Music Theatre Projects.
