National Multicultural Festival Family Sanctuary

Event

Canberra Museum + Gallery presents CMAG Sanctuary as part of the National Multicultural Festival.

Visitors are invited to step away from the crowds and enjoy a calm, welcoming space designed for families, children and people of all ages. The experience includes free creative activities, children's performances, live music and relaxed cultural encounters in a supportive, low-sensory environment.

Highlights include hands-on craft, face painting, theatre and music performances, and special displays celebrating community stories and creativity. Cricket fans can also enjoy a unique cultural moment with a special display presented in partnership with Cricket Australia.

CMAG Sanctuary is a sunflower space with quiet zones available for visitors who need time to rest, recharge or take a break from sensory stimulation. The Canberra Museum and Gallery café and exhibitions add to a full day of discovery, connection and calm in the heart of the city.
