Zoomies Paws Party | Play Outside Day

Sunday 26 July | 10am – 12pm
Haig Park, Braddon (top of Mort Street)

Canberra winters might be chilly, but that’s no reason to stay indoors! This month we’re holding a special Play Outside Day: Paws Party Edition to get you and your pooch outside and having fun. So rug up, round up your family (two- and four-legged) and join us in Haig Park for a pawsome morning of games, play and zoomies! ❄️🐶

Here’s how we’re getting your Sunday morning pumping:

⚽ Game on! Challenge your family, friends or fellow dog-owners to a round of badminton, pickleball, soccer, cornhole or basketball. There will also be outdoor board games. Whether you’re a tad competitive or playing for fun, there’s something for everyone.

🏃‍♀️‍➡️Zoomies zone: Every good dog loves a zoomie! Let your four-legged friend burn off some energy with a range of fun dog games and activities.

☺️ Chill zone: If active is not your thing, we’ve got plenty of room to put your feet up and enjoy the crisp Canberra morning.

🖌️Creation station: Kids can also get creative with our pawsitively brilliant craft activities while the grown-ups and their besties keep the action going.

🎶Wayne’s back and he’s rocking it: Local favourite Wayne Kelly returns with a playlist that will get everyone moving and grooving!

🛍️ Power-up market stroll: Keep the good vibes rolling with a lap of the Haig Park Village Markets. Refuel with delicious food, discover local makers and pick up a few well-earned treats before heading home.

Paws Parties are held monthly as part of the ongoing activation of Haig Park, helping to create a welcoming public space that supports connection, wellbeing and community engagement.
