Mr. Moose's Wonderful Silent Disco transforms one of Canberra's most recognisable nightlife venues into a vibrant daytime experience designed especially for families during the Wonderful World festival.
Held in the heart of the city, this free, family-friendly silent disco invites children, parents and grandparents to come together for a joyful shared experience of music, movement and connection in a safe and welcoming environment.
Children receive wireless headphones featuring multiple music channels, allowing participants to choose their own soundtrack while dancing together. Channels include kid-friendly pop favourites, nostalgic classics for adults and culturally diverse global music celebrating Canberra's multicultural community. The silent disco format creates a low-volume environment, making the experience suitable for younger children and those who prefer a more sensory-considerate setting.
The venue will be transformed into a colourful wonderland filled with playful energy, featuring bubble effects, vibrant lighting, face painting and interactive dance moments throughout each session plus special meet-and-greet opportunities with the Mooseheads mascot, Mr. Moose.
Designed for families with children aged 6–14, the event encourages intergenerational participation while inviting new audiences to experience Canberra's city centre in a relaxed daytime setting.
The event runs across multiple sessions throughout the day to allow broad participation.
