This event is presented by the Wonderful World Festival.
A big stage. A tale from the heart. Stories that stay with you.
Do you know someone who should take the Glebe Park Stage at Wonderful World to share a story that inspires, delights, or amazes?
Stories of Wonder is a live storytelling experience during the Wonderful World Festival, where Canberrans of all ages share short, personal stories capturing moments of wonder in their lives. Across the six-day festival, selected participants, individually or in pairs, such as children with grandparents, friends, or family members, and take the stage to enchant audiences.
Each story lasts up to five minutes and is guided by a friendly MC, with professional support provided to help storytellers prepare. No performance experience is needed, just a willingness to share a meaningful moment.
Stories of Wonder explores themes from old wisdom worth remembering to small discoveries, youthful perspectives, and cross-generational experiences. As part of the Wonderful World family festival, it invites shared listening, quiet connection, and a celebration of curiosity, togetherness, and the richness of everyday life.
Step up, share your story, and be part of a magical festival experience that celebrates wonder at every age.
This event is suitable for ages 1-112.
